Humber Street Sesh

FRIDAY 3RD AUG & SATURDAY 4TH AUG 2018

Humber Street Sesh is now bigger and better than ever before. There are more bands, bigger stages, exciting food and drink stalls, plus plenty more. This is all happening across the two-day event on Friday 3rd & Saturday 4th August 2018.

Hideout Hotel is getting in on the action by offering our guests a "Sesh" deal they couldn’t refuse. We are welcoming our special Humber Street Sesh guests with wristbands for both days, a fridge full of local Atom beers, and the odd bottle of gin thrown in.

The Hull Marina and Humber Street area is the central point for this amazing festival. If you haven’t booked for this year, make sure you plan your Hideout Hotel stay next year. We can make sure you don’t miss out on the best parts of all the Hull city centre fun.

Dominoes Art Installation

SATURDAY 11TH AUG 2018

If Sesh has come and gone by the time you read this then don't worry - there's more to be had in Hull this Summer. 

You can come to Hull the following weekend for "Dominoes" by Station House Opera, taking place on Saturday 11 August 2018. An internationally acclaimed, site-specific celebratory event, it will take over Hull playing with the architecture of the city on a 3.5km domino run for all to enjoy – a moving sculpture, both playful and epic.

Dominoes will weave its way through streets, public squares, civic buildings and private homes, climbing stairs, falling from windows and occasionally conquering a structure built from yet more blocks. Visit Absolutely Cultured website for more info: www.absolutelycultured.co.uk

VIEWING TIP: The Dominoes route falls outside Hideout in Trinity Square...so you won't need to venture very far to see it. If you fancy mooching elsewhere to see the installation...we recommend watching it in the historic shopping arcade - Paragon Arcade, at approximately 5PM.

Van morrison at bonus arena hull

THURSDAY 30TH AUG 2018

That's right, Van Morrison is coming to Hull! He's the official opening act for Hull's brand new music venue - Bonus Arena. Van Morrison will take to the fancy new stage on Thursday 30th August at approximately 7:30PM. Book your stay at Hideout from £85 and avoid the taxi queues and crowds by taking a short 5 minute walk to and from the gig...we'd love to see some of you Van Morrison fans back at ours after the gig. When you're ready to head to Bonus Arena, just cut through Princes Quay and you're there!
After the gig, if you want to keep those dancing feet moving...head to Trinity Lane where you'll find The Brain Jar, Silvers Bar, Yates, and many more, or for a nightclub there's ATIK.

Still seeking those Festival Vibes? Then you can book for Freedom Festival, which takes place between Friday 31st August - Sunday 2nd September 2018.

If you are a culture vulture and an artist in body and spirit, then you won’t want to miss the annual award-winning international arts festival. 2018 has the most exciting programme yet, with events spread across the city centre and further afield. There will be exhibitions, talks, music and spoken word performances. As always, you can grab a bite to eat from a variety of food and drink stalls, providing some of the tastiest food around.
