Meet Our "Culture Queen"

Tare Hideout Hotel

We are thrilled to announce that we have a new addition to the Hideout team and would love for you to meet Tare – Hideout General Manager.

Tare (pronounced tar-ee) was introduced to Hideout last year when she was working for the Hull 2017 team.

“As soon as I walked into Hideout I fell in love, and thought I need to work here next year!! The interiors are so beautiful, and the Self Check-In Apartment Hotel concept is really exciting for Hull and the industry!”

Tare is our “Culture Queen” and is often first to hear about the exciting events taking place in Hull and surrounding areas. If you’re planning on a Culture trip but are not quite sure what event is for you, get in touch with Tare who’ll recommend and even book the events to suit you…she’ll even arrange your transport to and from the venues if necessary (although most are on our doorstep).

To help you get to know Tare a little better, we decided to ask her some of her favourite spots in Hull. You will definitely want to add these to your must-see list when you book your stay in our boutique hotel.

Hull Marina

With the vibrant and creative Humber Street area being a favourite for many in Hull, Tare isn’t alone when she names this as her favourite area. With a whole host of independent restaurants, shops and even an art gallery or two this is an area of the city that captures the heart of everyone who visits.

Thieving Harry’s

Located in the popular Humber Street area, Thieving Harry’s is an independent café and coffee shop which boasts beautiful views of Hull’s marina and is a great spot for a bit of brunch.

Ferens Art Gallery

Tare recommends a visit to the Ferens Art Gallery and has added it to her list of must-sees when you visit hull. Last year it was home to the prestigious Turner Prize and this gallery always has exciting exhibitions.

The Arcades

Trinity Market, Hepworth Arcade, and Paragon arcade are great spots for vintage lovers. Tare recommends Beasleys Clothing and Magpies Den if you’re looking for some new vintage fashion or a unique gift to help you remember your time in Hull.

BE Coffee House

Situated within our very own hotel, we can’t blame Tare for loving the BE Coffee House. Using only locally sourced ingredients and promoting a friendly atmosphere, it’s always been one of our favourite places to chill out.

Take a tour of Hull on our website now, this means that you can check out some of Tare's recommendations for yourself and explore the local area
